This role is designed for experienced automotive professionals who want to transition their hands-on mechanical expertise into a remote, advisory-based technical environment.
You will leverage your deep knowledge of automotive or truck repair to evaluate repair recommendations, ensure technical accuracy, and support cost-effective maintenance decisions.
The position plays a key role in maintaining quality, fairness, and consistency across vehicle service and repair assessments.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams in a fast-paced call center setting, providing trusted technical guidance grounded in real workshop experience.
This is a fully remote opportunity that allows you to stay connected to the automotive industry while working in a structured, performance-driven environment.
The role combines technical problem-solving, communication, and operational support, with a strong focus on service quality and customer outcomes.
- Provide technical support based on real-world automotive or truck mechanical experience to internal teams and service stakeholders.
- Evaluate repair recommendations to assess necessity, accuracy, scope, and alignment with industry standards.
- Ensure maintenance and repair work is appropriately justified, executed, and fairly priced through detailed technical review.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate or challenge repair requirements when appropriate, documenting all savings and outcomes.
- Verify that preventative maintenance schedules are technically sound and consistently applied.
- Maintain performance metrics and contribute to operational efficiency and service quality standards.
- Support team collaboration, professionalism, and adaptability within a remote, high-volume service environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Valid mechanic license (310S or 310T required).
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in automotive or truck repair.
- Previous experience in a contact center or customer support environment (asset).
- Post-secondary education in automotive technology or a related field (asset).
- Strong proficiency in MS Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- ASE certification or willingness to obtain it within a defined timeline.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to stay solution-focused under pressure in a remote setting.
