Job Summary
The Assistant Food & Beverage General Manager supports the overall management and daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets and banquet functions. This role works closely with the Food & Beverage General Manager to ensure seamless service execution, uphold financial objectives, and maintain the highest service standards in alignment with company values and Forbes guidelines. The Assistant F&B General Manager is responsible for supervising team members, assisting in the development of staff schedules based on operational needs and budgetary guidelines, and supporting financial planning, cost control, and forecasting efforts. This position plays a critical role in driving service excellence, reinforcing training and development initiatives, and ensuring consistency across all outlets.
Education & Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least five (3) years of progressive leadership experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate, First Aid, and CPR certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Proven comprehensive understanding and adherence to company policies, procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, health and safety regulations, sanitation protocols, chemical usage, fire safety procedures, and HACCP guidelines.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, labor cost control, food safety regulations, and Forbes service standards.
• Fluent in English, Spanish languages required.

• Demonstrates the ability to support staffing and scheduling efforts that enhance operational efficiency while maintaining labor cost awareness.
• Applies strong judgment and problem-solving skills to assist in resolving operational challenges and maintaining seamless service.
• Possesses a working knowledge of financial practices, including budgeting and cost control, supporting the team in achieving profitability goals.
• Delivers a thoughtful guest-centric approach, anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and resolving concerns with professionalism and care.
• Effectively manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, supporting the team in maintaining consistent service excellence.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended hours.
• The ability to work through long shifts, including late-night hours and/or weekends.
• Ability to work effectively in a loud, crowded setting.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
