Schedule: Full-Time | Mon – Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hiring Range: $78,832.00 - $98,550.40 per year

The Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Laboratory Supervisor to lead our laboratory team in delivering exceptional diagnostic services that support quality patient care. What You’ll Do:
- Supervise the daily operations, workflow, and performance of the Medical Laboratory.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory accreditation standards, federal regulations, and organizational policies.
- Monitor quality assurance activities, investigate testing variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee implementation of new laboratory tests, instrumentation, procedures, and quality initiatives.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory information systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) interfaces, including test setup and billing code assignments.
- Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, Information Technology, and other departments to resolve laboratory issues and improve patient care.
- Manage laboratory inventory, vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and operational supplies.
- Assist with annual budgeting, resource planning, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Perform laboratory testing as needed to support workflow and patient care.

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field OR certification as a Medical Technologist (MT).
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a medical laboratory setting.
- Demonstrated experience in staff leadership, recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with laboratory information systems (LIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
