Leader (Shift Supervisor)Location: Clary Anderson Arena, Montclair, NJPay Rate: $22.00 -$25.00 per hour (commensurate with proven experience)Position Type: seasonal (Non-Benefits Eligible)General Statement of Duties:The Leader (Shift Supervisor) plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of Clary Anderson Arena. This position is responsible for overseeing daily facility activities, supervising staff, and maintaining a high standard of customer service and facility upkeep during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.Supervision Received:Works under the supervision of General Manager and Township Management who reviews performance for conformance to Clary Anderson Arena policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities• Supervise, train, and mentor facility staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.• Contribute significantly to staff performance management, including recommendations for hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and terminations.• Manage overall facility operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all areas.• Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive experience for all facility users and guests.• Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all patrons and staff.• Complete and accurately document all accident and incident reports.• Operate ice resurfacing equipment to maintain optimal ice quality (if applicable to specific rink operations).• Operate various maintenance equipment to ensure superior playing surface quality across all facility areas.• Oversee the efficient operation of the point-of-sale (POS) system during shifts.• Perform daily POS system reconciliation and cash handling procedures.• Provide oversight and support to coaching staff, referees, and scorekeepers in the absence of the Director.Other duties as assigned by management and township management.Education: High School graduate or equivalent required; bachelor's degree desirable, applicable experience may be considered. three (3) years of leadership experience preferred.Experience: • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to effectively train, motivate, and manage a team.
