This role is focused on building and maintaining distributed backend applications using modern technologies and scalable architectures.
You will contribute to critical solutions by developing high-performance systems within a collaborative and agile environment.
The position involves working with microservices, cloud-native technologies, and backend integrations to support business needs.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Product, to deliver reliable solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong Java expertise, experience with OpenShift and Cassandra, and a passion for software quality.

The Backend Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting distributed applications while ensuring performance, scalability, security, and alignment with modern software engineering practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Build and consume REST APIs to support integrations between different systems and services.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate applications using the OpenShift platform.
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications developed using React.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration processes to ensure high-quality deliveries.
• Analyze incidents and implement improvements related to performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate should have solid backend development experience, strong knowledge of Java ecosystems, and the ability to work in agile and technology-driven environments.

• Proven experience in Java Backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Experience with Cassandra databases.
• Knowledge of Docker containers and containerized application environments.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Git and version control practices.
• Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Spanish proficiency at B2 level.
• Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration mindset, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience with React.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, especially GitHub Actions.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
