Job Description
About Calvary Chapel Eagle
Calvary Chapel Eagle is located in Idaho’s beautiful Treasure Valley, just outside Boise. Since relaunching in October 2023 under the leadership of Pastor Brenen Beeler, we’ve seen over 200 first-time commitments to Christ, 140+ baptisms, and launched more than 30 small groups. Our church is growing rapidly, and we’re passionate about seeing revival in our community and helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
About the role
The Social Media Manager helps ensure that the story of what God is doing at Calvary Chapel Eagle is told clearly, consistently, and compellingly - both to the church body and to the community around us. This role exists to help people find CCE, stay connected, and take their next step in following Jesus.
The Social Media Manager oversees churchwide social media storytelling, digital platforms, community awareness, and graphic design support. This role partners closely with the Creative team to ensure all communications reflect the heart, mission, and visual identity of CCE. The Creative Director approves the look and feel of all communications produced by this role.
What you'll do
1. Digital Platform Management
- Utilize CCE’s digital presence—website, social media, podcast, and app—to bring biblical teaching and opportunities for connection and discipleship to people wherever they are.
- Represent the heart and culture of CCE to people exploring Christianity and those looking for a home church.
- Ensure the CCE website is current, welcoming, and easy to navigate—especially for someone visiting for the first time.
- Manage the social media accounts for CCE as a primary communication channel.
2. Communications Strategy & Community Awareness
- Develop and execute churchwide communication plans across all channels—stage announcements, Calvary Connect, Gloo texting, social media, email, and print.
- Ensure all communications are clear, timely, and aligned with the church calendar and ministry priorities.
- Oversee community awareness efforts—mailers, digital campaigns, and promotional content—so that people in the Treasure Valley searching for a church home can find CCE.
- Ensure that when someone hears about CCE, the path from curiosity to a first visit is simple and inviting.
3. Storytelling
- Capture and share what God is doing in and through the church body—testimonies, baptisms, life change, and ministry impact.
- Create a culture of storytelling at CCE through live content, video, social media, and written pieces.
- Help the church body see and celebrate what God is doing among them.
- Tell the stories of what God is doing through CCE’s missions partners, mission trips, and local outreach efforts.
- Develop content that connects the congregation to the bigger picture of what God is doing beyond our walls.
4. Graphic Design Support
- Create graphics, templates, and visual assets for social media posts, email campaigns, and print materials in collaboration with the Creative team and director.
- Provide design support for events, sermon series branding, and seasonal campaigns (social graphics, slides, flyers) as needed.
- Ensure all designed content aligns with CCE’s visual identity and brand guidelines, working within guidelines approved by the Creative Director.
5. CStore Management
- Lead the seasonal planning and procurement for CCE’s outreach gear and apparel.
- Coordinate with the Creative team on design and visual identity.
- Schedule volunteer teams to serve at the CStore, managing operations, inventory, and point-of-sale.
