Food Service Associate in Byfield, Massachusetts at Meriwether Godsey, Inc.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-Time Food Service Associate at The Governor's Academy, a prestigious independent day and boarding school located in Byfield, MA.

• Must be available: Sunday and Wednesday, 11 am-7:30 pm
• Part-time
• Food handling and customer service experience preferred

What the Food Service Associate will do:

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
• Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner
• Transport food and supplies to the cafeteria: assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the cafeteria, food serving, and beverage areas.
• Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.
• Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Keep dining room areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized
• Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
  

What the Food Service Associate will need:

• Must be able to pass an FBI background check
  
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills
• Flexibility: ability to switch between locations and job duties
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.
• Reliable Transportation
