Position Summary |
- This position performs a wide variety of accounting duties such as participating in the month-end close of the general ledger, submitting reports to external parties and preparing various account analyses. The position requires the ability to problem solve and work both independently and in a group.

Primary Position Responsibilities |
- Prepare and enter various journal entries for assigned accounts, ensuring all activity is recorded
- Perform various account analyses and reconciliations on a monthly basis, including intercompany transactions, accruals and specialty areas of accounting including fund accounting and grants management, as applicable.
- Prepare financial reports in compliance with external reporting requirements
- Download monthly and quarterly bank statements for bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Performs detailed analyses of assigned cost centers and compares budget to actual and prior periods
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support management inquiries for revenue and expenses as needed
- Assists with financial reporting by gathering and reporting statistical information
- Assist with year-end audit by assembling supporting documents and providing prepared schedules.

Qualifications |
Minimum Education:
Required:
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Preferred:
- None
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
- Three to five years of directly related professional prior experience required
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare or non-profit finance preferred
- Two to three years accounting experience in a certified public accounting firm
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
None
Preferred:
- CPA
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables
- Detailed knowledge of accounting principles
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work

- Advanced Microsoft Office
