This is a high-impact commercial leadership role focused on driving growth across a defined U.S. territory.
You will lead new business development while expanding strategic relationships across biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and life sciences organizations.
The role centers on pre-clinical services and requires a strong understanding of drug discovery and early-stage development.
You will partner closely with scientific and operational experts to shape compelling solutions for complex client challenges.
With significant autonomy and visibility, you will help influence commercial strategy and identify opportunities for sustainable revenue growth.
You will build relationships with scientific, procurement, and executive stakeholders while developing long-term strategic partnerships.

- Own business development across a defined U.S. territory, generating new opportunities and sustainable revenue growth across the pre-clinical services portfolio.
- Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans designed to deliver consistent year-over-year growth.
- Build, manage, and convert a strong sales pipeline while maintaining accurate forecasts and CRM data.
- Identify and pursue high-value opportunities across both prospective and existing client accounts.
- Lead proposal strategies, executive summaries, and commercial responses for priority opportunities.
- Coordinate scientific, operational, marketing, and business development stakeholders to develop compelling client solutions and successful bids.
- Build trusted relationships with scientific, procurement, and executive-level stakeholders within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and life sciences organizations.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships with the goal of establishing preferred-supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with marketing and business development leadership to identify target accounts and introduce new service offerings to the market.
- Develop account growth strategies that increase engagement, expand service adoption, and grow client wallet share.
- Proven experience selling pre-clinical, drug discovery, translational research, or outsourced scientific services to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations.
- Strong understanding of the drug discovery and pre-clinical development process.
- Demonstrated success developing territories and account plans that generate consistent revenue growth.
- Proven track record of winning new business and expanding existing client relationships.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and developing high-value strategic partnerships.
- Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and commercial planning capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both scientific and commercial audiences.
- Consultative and relationship-driven approach to business development, combined with strong commercial motivation and scientific curiosity.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field; an MBA is desirable.
- Fluent English.
- Candidates based in Massachusetts or the U.S. Eastern Time Zone are preferred.
- Annual base salary of $125,000–$180,000, with the final offer depending on experience, skills, and applicable market factors.
