Product Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Analyst based in United Kingdom.

This is a high-impact product analytics role focused on helping teams make better, data-informed product and business decisions.
You will work at the intersection of product, data, AI, and customer insight within a distributed global environment.
Your work will strengthen the measurement foundations that help teams understand product performance, customer behavior, and business outcomes.
You will build scalable analytics systems, trusted metrics, dashboards, data models, and customer insight processes.
The role also offers significant scope to apply emerging AI capabilities to automate workflows and accelerate insight generation.
You will partner closely with product, engineering, design, data, and business stakeholders while operating with considerable autonomy.
Success will mean making analytics more accessible, actionable, automated, and deeply embedded in the product development lifecycle.

Accountabilities
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to define and maintain event taxonomies, tracking standards, instrumentation practices, and data quality requirements.
  • Build and maintain scalable, self-service dashboards that enable product teams to monitor performance and make informed decisions.
  • Establish and document clear definitions for core product metrics, creating a reliable shared source of truth across stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve measurement frameworks as products, customer needs, and business priorities evolve.
  • Use AI tools and emerging techniques to generate insights, recommendations, documentation, and analytics workflows more efficiently.
  • Work across the product analytics ecosystem, including tools such as Mixpanel, Segment, Looker, and similar platforms, ensuring reporting is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
  • Build and maintain dbt models covering important product entities, behaviors, and analytical use cases.
  • Contribute to a clean and usable metric layer that enables business stakeholders to access and understand product data independently.
  • Organize and analyse Voice of the Customer signals from sources such as customer support, churn, NPS, sales feedback, and customer interviews.
  • Support data quality through testing, monitoring, documentation, automation, and continuous improvement of analytics processes.
  • Deliver recurring reporting and analysis covering product adoption, engagement, retention, and other relevant performance indicators.
  • Translate product usage and customer signals into clear findings and recommendations for product teams, business stakeholders, and executives.
  • Analyse relationships between product behavior and business outcomes such as revenue and customer retention.
  • Automate reporting and develop AI-assisted workflows while maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of core metrics.
  • Help make analytics and insights increasingly self-service, reducing manual effort and accelerating access to actionable information.
  • Establish feedback loops that connect customer signals and product analytics with roadmap and investment decisions.
  • Support the broader adoption of AI across Product, Design, and Engineering by identifying opportunities to incorporate data and AI-generated insights throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Build scalable systems and processes that enable analytics capabilities to support multiple teams and evolving business needs.
  • Operate independently in ambiguous situations, structuring problems, prioritising opportunities, and developing practical solutions where processes or systems do not yet exist.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in product analytics or a related analytical role, ideally working closely with digital product teams and influencing decisions through data.
  • Advanced SQL skills and a strong analytical foundation, with experience working with complex product and behavioral datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with event-based product analytics and platforms such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or similar tools.
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Looker or comparable business intelligence solutions.
  • Practical experience building and maintaining dbt models and familiarity with modern data transformation and analytics workflows.
  • An AI-first mindset, with practical experience using AI to accelerate insight generation, documentation, reporting, or analytics workflows in a business or production environment.
  • Understanding of how to establish appropriate guardrails, maintain trust in data, and operationalise AI responsibly within analytics processes.
  • Strong systems-thinking and an operator’s mindset, with a track record of building scalable processes, tools, and analytical foundations.
  • A strong builder mentality and willingness to create practical solutions when processes, systems, tools, data, or stakeholder alignment are not yet in place.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, independently structure problems, prioritise work, and collaborate across functions.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present analytical findings to product managers and business stakeholders and translate complex analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Strong customer orientation and an ability to connect product behavior and customer signals to meaningful business outcomes.
  • Experience connecting analytics to product adoption, engagement, retention, revenue, or other business performance measures.
  • Familiarity with public cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure is desirable.
  • Exposure to FinOps, cloud cost management, or enterprise SaaS environments is advantageous.
  • Experience working with B2B products or B2B product analytics is preferred.
  • Experience using AI to automate analytics workflows and systematically incorporate insights into product development and decision-making is highly relevant.
Benefits:
  • Unlimited vacation.
  • Flexible working options within a remote-first environment.
  • Health insurance.
  • Parental leave.
  • Employee stock option plan.
  • Home office allowance.
  • Professional development stipend.
  • Peer recognition programme.
  • Opportunity to work with a globally distributed team and maintain flexibility around work and personal commitments.
  • Support for ongoing professional and personal development.
  • An entrepreneurial environment that encourages ownership, continuous learning, experimentation, and building scalable solutions.
