Job Description:

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Product Management/Acquisition Analyst using Army military medical experience to support Army medical products throughout the acquisition lifecycle-from science and technology or modernization efforts through to the sustainment of fielded medical products, devices, equipment, and systems used on the battlefield.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Proactively engage with Product Managers and technical subject matter experts (e.g., Risk Management Framework, Logistics, Software Engineers, etc.) to gather information required for the acquisition documentation.
  • Develop, edit, and/or maintain acquisition milestone documentation (e.g., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Material Fielding Plans, etc.), to include program briefings IAW applicable DoD 5000 series regulations to ensure successful decision reviews for medical products.
  • Prepare and maintain project management integrated master schedules, Gantt charts, and/or action item lists for assigned products, based on input from the organization, outside consultants, and key staff.
  • Develop and update schedules as well as assist in providing input for Life Cycle Cost Estimates and Independent Government Cost Estiamtes.
  • Populate and maintain tracking of action items/taskers for specified product development programs according to Army policies and procedures. Monitor, coordinate, and report responses to external requests and tasks for information, ensuring responses are timely and accurate.
  • Conduct market research, support analyses, review existing tech base programs, and recommend acquisition strategies to strengthen and engage medical requirements and/or medical capabilities in support of force health protection and provide information packages based on the results of these analyses. Participate in task forces and surveys, studies, and other investigations of areas of management operations to determine adequacy of medical equipment.
  • Communicate with personnel at various echelons through the use of effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Develop strategies and articulate into briefing slides, and then conduct presentation to leaders.
  • Participate in and take minutes at various meetings both internally and externally to the organization.
  • Participate in special projects, as required.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Prior military medical acquisition experience. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS).
  • Preferred Technical Skills: Prior U.S. Army experience and knowledge of product management, acquisition, procurement, fielding, and/or logistics processes.
  • Security Clearance Level: N/A - must be clearable for a NACI (T1) public trust
  • Attributes for Success: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Highly proactive self-starter who has attention to details, flexible, and able to effective work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Location: Hybrid (on-site 3 days a week at Ft. Detrick, MD)
  • Travel: Less than 10%

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $120,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
