Job Description

Location: Meriden, CT

Shift Available:

  • 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Overtime Available

Compensation: Competitive Salary + 15% Shift Differential for off-shift hours + Overtime Available + Benefits Day #1

**Must live within a commutable distance to the plant, no relocation package offered.

Join a high-performance aerospace manufacturing team as a CMM Quality Inspector. In this role, you’ll ensure precision-machined components meet strict engineering and customer standards using advanced inspection tools and CMM technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace machined components
  • Operate and/or program CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar)
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, height stands, etc.)
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with machining and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, customer specs)

What You Bring

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 2+ years in quality inspection, CMM operation, or precision machining inspection
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Experience using CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment

Preferred:

  • Aerospace or AS9100 manufacturing experience
  • CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent)
  • Experience with tight-tolerance machining or complex components
  • Background in CNC machining or inspection support roles
