Position Summary: | The Billing Specialist will join a high-performing team of passionate professionals driven by excellence, results, and customer service. The Billing Specialist is responsible for providing clients with exemplary customer service, answering incoming phone calls, monitoring accounts, achieving specific revenue objectives, and communicating effectively with all staff to ensure quality service. This position also bills out trips, monitors assigned accounts, collects on assigned accounts, ensures HIPAA compliance, and completes necessary follow up. In office position - Must be willing to report to the office Monday - Friday. |

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of billing principles, practices, and procedures.
Comply with all company, State, and Federal policies and regulation requirements.
Basic knowledge of hospitals, healthcare systems, and post-acute facilities and all Falcon contracts.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Maintain minimum productivity requirements.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and billing related software. TraumaSoft experience a plus.

Working interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating a high degree of empathy, customer focus, and discretion.
Working verbal and written communication skills ensuring employees have the best experience while engaging with the Billing Team.

Ability to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
Six-months of previous billing experience preferred, particularly in EMS, healthcare or a public safety related industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
