Job Overview:
As the Manufacturing Technician, you will play a pivotal role in PharmaLogic’s radiopharmaceutical manufacturing operations and is responsible for executing manufacturing procedures and tasks within a controlled cGMP environment. By following standard operating procedures and maintaining compliance with regulations, the Manufacturing Technician contributes to the production of high-quality radiopharmaceuticals with a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork to achieve PharmaLogic’s mission and vision
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Execute manufacturing processes according to standard operating procedures within a cGMP cleanroom environment.
- Record production data accurately and maintain documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete production tasks as per shift schedule.
- Support the development of manufacturing processes and contribute to documentation efforts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Participate in training and continuously develop your skills to enhance your contribution to the team.
- Troubleshoot routine and non-routine manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements │ Skills │ Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in the life sciences (e.g., biology, microbiology, etc.), physical sciences (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, etc.), engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, demonstrating a strong understanding of cGMP principles preferred.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration within the team.
- Ability to execute tasks independently and accurately, maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Play a role in investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA initiatives.
- Willingness to take ownership of tasks, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to solutions.
The Manufacturing Technician operates in a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility, an environment that requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. The following working conditions outline what you can expect in this role:
- Controlled Environment: Operating in a controlled manufacturing environment that adheres to strict regulations and guidelines to ensure the safety of personnel, product quality, and environmental protection. The facility maintains stringent air quality, temperature, humidity, and cleanliness standards to prevent contamination and ensure the integrity of radiopharmaceutical products.
- Radiation Safety: Due to the nature of radiopharmaceuticals, the Manufacturing Technician will be exposed to radioactive materials and ionizing radiation. Work will be carried out under the guidance of radiation safety procedures and equipment, including protective gear and shielding, to minimize potential health risks.
- Cleanroom Environment: A significant portion of the Manufacturing Technician will be carried out in cleanrooms or sterile environments. Cleanrooms maintain low particle counts and strict cleanliness standards to prevent product contamination. Adherence to gowning procedures, hygiene practices, and aseptic techniques is essential to maintain the integrity of the products.
- Physical Demands: The role may involve standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and performing repetitive tasks. The Manufacturing Technician should be physically capable of meeting these demands to ensure both your safety and the quality of the products.
Physical and Intellectual Requirements:
Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and to be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion. Able to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals; good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses); normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz); ability to analyze situations, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective organizational skills; a commitment to continuous learning; an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
