CEP Teacher (Children Education Program – Sunday School)

Position Type: Part-Time (Weekend)
Reports To: Principal
The All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) is seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate educators to join our Children's Education Program (CEP). This role offers the opportunity to positively impact the spiritual and personal development of Muslim youth by creating engaging learning experiences that strengthen their Islamic identity and understanding.

Position SummaryCEP Teachers are responsible for delivering foundational Islamic education to students in a positive, engaging, and nurturing environment. Teachers will work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, school administration, and fellow educators to support student growth and success.
Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Instruction & Student DevelopmentDevelop and submit weekly lesson plans in collaboration with teaching assistants.
Deliver engaging and age-appropriate Islamic lessons.
Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.
Encourage student participation and foster a love of learning.
Lead and supervise classroom and recreational activities.
Maintain accurate attendance records.
Assess student performance and track academic achievement.
Identify student needs and provide feedback to the Principal.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Respond promptly to parent inquiries and emails.
Participate in school-wide events and activities.
Serve as a positive role model for students and the wider community.
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, teaching assistants, school administration, and the Principal.
Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Support the mission and values of ADAMS through active participation and leadership.
Minimum 3 years of experience teaching children or youth or working in a youth-focused environment.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to create and maintain a positive classroom learning environment.
Ability to connect with students while understanding the cultural realities they face.
Completion of foundational Islamic studies through an established institution or local masjid (references required).
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be in good standing within the community.
Previous experience teaching Islamic studies or Quranic education.
Experience working in faith-based educational environments.
Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to engage students through creative and interactive teaching methods.
Make a meaningful impact on the next generation of Muslim youth.

Part-Time Weekend Position
Schedules may vary based on campus needs and assigned grade levels.
