The Human Resources Manager at Parker Offshore, LLC is responsible for leading and executing core HR functions that support a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role oversees talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance and training initiatives to ensure an engaged and productive workforce. The Human Resources Manager partners closely with leadership and production teams to strengthen organizational culture, drive effective communication, and promote a positive employee experience. The position ensures compliance with employment laws, manages HR metrics and reporting, and supports payroll, benefits, and labor relations activities.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages human resources programs including but not limited to recruiting and talent acquisition, employee relations, performance and talent management, and training and development
  • Develops, implements, and enhances company policies based on organizational culture and industry best practices
  • Fosters good relationships with production managers and supervisors to promote cooperation and employee engagement
  • Effectively communicates and disseminates HR and Company information across multiple platforms
  • Supports Company reporting requirements and conducts research and analysis of organizational trends delivering accurate and relevant metrics on the Company's workforce
  • Provides complex reports as needed for compliance submissions, audits, etc.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and new technologies in human resources; monitors employment legislation; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance; and advises management on any actions needed for compliance with upcoming regulatory changes
  • Develops orientation programs, processes requisition and status change forms
  • Monitors unemployment and workers' compensation claims and assists departments with appeals
  • Assists the payroll coordinator and finance team with payroll
  • Performs other HR specific responsibilities as assigned

DEPARTMENT JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare, recommend, and maintain records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data
  • Serve as EEO specialist, responsible for labor relations and nurture a positive work environment
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Propose, publish, and administer personnel policies
  • Administer classification programs, which include classifying and reclassifying positions, and writing job descriptions
  • Monitor performance appraisal programs

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Must exhibit excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing demands and priorities
  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and employment law
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to make sound judgements and take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms for payroll, benefits and recruiting. Knowledge or experience with Paylocity and Accusource a plus
  • Advance Microsoft Office proficiency required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years Human Resources experience is required. Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • HRCI/SHRM certification preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds, if applicable
  • Visual acuity to view screens and read documents
  • This is a safety-sensitive position
