Description:

Reports To: Locker Room Manager

Essential Functions:

  • Report to work in proper uniform and well groomed at scheduled time.
  • Take care of members' and guests' clothes, golf shoes, street shoes and other needs in the Locker Room.
  • Serves beverages and food to members and guests.
  • Takes messages accurately and sees that they are given to the proper person.
  • Helps with care and maintenance of the Locker Room to always keep everything in top condition.
  • Prepares and serves alcoholic beverages and cocktails when required.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance always in accordance with the established dress codes, good posture, and a smile.
  • Provide equal and immediate attention to all members/guests upon arrival.
  • Take member orders and place orders with kitchen or bar when required.
  • Inform cooks about any special cooking instructions.
  • Clear tables and return dishes and cutlery to kitchens.
  • Be knowledgeable about all food and beverage products that are offered and how they are prepared.
  • Verify accuracy of member number and prices before presenting the check for signature.
  • Effectively handle complaints and communicate them to manager or supervisor immediately.
  • Work with a “sense of urgency” on behalf of the membership without disrupting the atmosphere of the locker room.
  • Assist in keeping bar, dining, and prep area neat and clean.
  • Comply with all Club food and beverage service standards.
  • Check back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water, butter, etc. as necessary.
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
  • Attend meetings as requested by supervisor or manager.
  • Proper execution of POS system (Jonas) to ensure accurate communication between kitchen, bar, and service staff.
  • Responsible for restocking supplies at the beginning of the shift
  • Restock grooming supplies in shower room and sink areas.
  • Perform Housekeeping duties as requested.
  • Assist in maintaining all LLR areas clean and in order.
  • Assist with shoe care and assures accurate member/guest shoe delivery from Men's Locker Room.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Any tips need to be distributed equally.
  • Always treat all members and guests equally and according to Club standards.
  • Do not serve alcohol to intoxicated members/guests or anyone under the age of 21.
  • Report intoxicated members/guests and children asking for alcoholic beverages to supervisor or manager on duty immediately.
  • Always ask for ID if the legal drinking age (21) is a concern. No ID, no alcohol.
  • If a member/guest appears to be impaired and is driving, offer alternate transportation, such as a Taxi or a ride from a friend or relative.
  • Comply with all TABC and Club regulations concerning alcoholic beverage service.

Working Conditions:

  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

  • Basic knowledge of wines
  • Bartender knowledge
  • Must possess an outgoing personality.
  • Must possess honesty and integrity.
  • Must be always courteous and tactful.
  • Must treat others with kindness and respect.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with members, guests, and staff in pleasant and professional manner.
  • Must be able to speak English clearly and understand members’ wants and how to serve them.
  • Must be able to write legibly and accurately.
  • Must have professional, neat, and clean appearance.
  • Must appear for work on time and follow schedule.
  • Ability to interact well with co-workers.
  • Ability to understand and follow posted rules and procedures.
  • Must follow directions from a supervisor.
  • Must be able to work long hours.
  • Must be a minimum age of 18 years.
  • Must have valid TABC certification to serve alcohol.
  • Must have valid Food Handler’s certification to serve food (per Texas law)

  • Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Independent mobility through clubhouse.
