- Lead and develop a geographically distributed team of senior and mid-level data managers, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement best-in-class data management standards, SOPs, and training frameworks that scale across a growing clinical trial portfolio.
- Oversee end-to-end clinical data management activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and readiness of datasets from study build through database lock and transfer.
- Ensure compliance with CDISC standards (including CDASH and SDTM) and maintain inspection-ready documentation and processes for regulatory audits.
- Drive adoption of modern data practices, including AI-assisted workflows, automation of repetitive tasks, and implementation of cloud-based data platforms.
- Act as escalation point for complex data quality issues and sponsor-facing data inquiries.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Deployment, Product, and Quality) to ensure aligned data strategies and high-quality study execution.
- Translate operational and scientific needs into clear requirements for improved data tooling and platform capabilities.
- 8+ years of experience in clinical data management or a closely related discipline within pharma, biotech, or CRO environments.
- Proven experience in people leadership, including mentoring, coaching, or formally managing high-performing technical teams.
- Strong expertise in clinical data standards, including CDASH and SDTM, and their application in regulated environments.
- Experience managing data quality across the full clinical trial lifecycle, including protocol design, database build, and study closeout.
- Familiarity with relational databases, reporting tools, and clinical data systems in production settings.
- Demonstrated experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits, and ensuring compliance readiness.
- Experience introducing new technologies or ways of working, with strong change management skills to drive adoption in established teams.
- Exposure to AI/ML-enabled tools or automation in clinical data workflows is highly preferred.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
- Competitive salary with meaningful equity participation.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness benefits.
- Generous paid time off, including 27 PTO days, 11 federal holidays, and additional company holidays.
- Annual learning and development budget to support professional growth.
- Monthly wellness allowance with flexible usage options.
- Remote-first work environment with flexible working arrangements.
- Regular company offsites, team events, and in-person collaboration opportunities.
- Support for travel, wellbeing, and professional enrichment through additional stipends and programs.
