Job Description

Strategic Account Director

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Strategic Account Director in the United States.

This is a high-impact, hunter-driven sales leadership role focused on building and expanding strategic enterprise accounts within the corporate events and experiential production space. You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing large-scale event production opportunities, primarily within Fortune 5000 organizations. Operating in a pure outbound capacity, you will own the full business development lifecycle—from first contact through contract negotiation and deal closure. You will act as the strategic bridge between client vision and complex technical event execution, working closely with production, creative, and logistics teams. Success in this role requires strong commercial instincts, deep relationship-building capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise buying environments. This is a highly autonomous position designed for a proven business builder who thrives in fast-paced, client-facing environments and is motivated by uncapped earning potential.

Accountabilities:
  • Own full-cycle business development, from outbound prospecting and relationship building to pitching, negotiating, and closing multi-million-dollar event production contracts.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise clients with recurring, global, and high-volume event needs, focusing exclusively on self-generated opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to engage senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives and senior meeting planners.
  • Translate client objectives and business goals into scalable, high-value event production solutions in partnership with internal production, creative, and technical teams.
  • Lead in-person client engagement activities, including industry events, conferences, and on-site meetings, with significant travel (up to 30%).
  • Identify, pursue, and secure long-term strategic accounts capable of generating $1M+ annual event production opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships to ensure long-term account growth and repeat business.
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to execution by aligning internal teams on scope, expectations, and delivery requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or agency-side business development roles.
  • Proven track record of building a book of business from scratch, with demonstrated success managing $10M+ in lifetime revenue.
  • Strong experience selling complex, high-value solutions rather than transactional services.
  • Established network and relationships within target industries such as technology, financial services, consulting, or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a pure outbound, hunter-style sales environment with minimal inbound support.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align client business needs with technical and creative execution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence skills.
  • High level of independence, initiative, and resilience in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% for client engagement and industry presence.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation structure with base salary and uncapped commission, with total earnings potential of $200,000–$300,000+ OTE.
  • Base salary range between $110,000 and $150,000, depending on experience and fit.
  • Annual profit-sharing bonus program.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Employer-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and employee assistance program access.
  • 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match.
  • Generous PTO package including 16 PTO days (increasing with tenure) plus paid holidays.
  • 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents.
  • Monthly stipends for internet and mobile phone expenses.
  • Fitness reimbursement program and annual charitable giving allowance.
  • Collaborative, high-performance culture with strong operational support from production and logistics experts.
