This role is a detail-oriented remote contract position focused on supporting the collection, verification, and maintenance of residential development data across Canadian markets. You will contribute to a specialized research environment where accuracy, consistency, and timeliness are essential to maintaining a high-quality real estate data product. The position involves gathering information from public sources, planning documents, and direct outreach to ensure datasets remain current and reliable. You will play an important role in tracking multi-family housing developments, monitoring permit activity, and updating key project milestones. This is a highly independent role suited for someone who enjoys structured research work, data validation, and systematic information entry. You will collaborate with a broader research team while working primarily remotely with significant autonomy.
This role is responsible for researching, validating, and entering real estate development data to ensure accurate and up-to-date project tracking within proprietary systems.
- Monitor project websites, municipal planning documents, and internal sources to gather relevant development information.
- Conduct outbound phone calls and inquiries to obtain missing or updated project data.
- Input and maintain accurate sales, permit, and project information within proprietary databases.
- Verify data accuracy using multiple tools and cross-referencing techniques.
- Track active development permits and monitor changes in status across assigned markets.
- Maintain updated records of multi-family housing projects, including launch timelines and project milestones.
- Ensure data consistency, completeness, and adherence to internal quality standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote research and data entry environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and research skills.
- Comfortable making phone calls and conducting information-gathering outreach.
- Ability to work independently while managing workload effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and willingness to learn new tools quickly.
- Resourcefulness and curiosity when working with public data sources and online information.
- Experience or familiarity with websites, data systems, or basic technical tools is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional context.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a distributed team environment.
- Hourly rate of CA$20 with 20–30 hours per week
- Fully remote contract role with flexible working schedule
