Job Description
Job Objective/Summary: The Medication Technician/C.N.A will assist licensed nursing staff by preparing and administering daily medications as ordered by the physician. The Med Tech will document within limitations in the electronic health record under the supervision of the licensed nurse. The Med Tech will also respond to Resident requests and other direct care duties as assigned.
Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience: Must hold a valid and active license in good standing as a C.N.A in the state of Arkansas. Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program. Strong knowledge of nursing principals, practices and procedures. Compassionate, patient-centered approach. Successful completion of state approved Medication Administration and hold medication aide certification. Minimum of one year of healthcare industry experience desired.
