Corporate Affairs, Manager - Obesity and Related Conditions

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Corporate Affairs, Manager - Obesity and Related Conditions based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape integrated communications for a high-visibility and rapidly evolving therapeutic area.
You will help translate complex scientific, medical, and business priorities into compelling communications for internal and external audiences.
Working across corporate affairs, communications, digital, and employee engagement, you will manage initiatives from strategy through execution.
The position combines creative thinking, rigorous project management, data-driven insights, and strong stakeholder collaboration.
You will partner with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, agencies, and vendors to deliver impactful communications across multiple channels.
Your work will support important milestones, events, thought leadership, social media, and broader engagement initiatives.
This remote U.S. position offers meaningful visibility, occasional travel, and the opportunity to contribute to communications that support patients and healthcare innovation.

Accountabilities
  • Support the development and execution of integrated communications strategies for the Obesity and Related Conditions organization, engaging internal and external audiences effectively.
  • Manage multiple communications initiatives simultaneously, including project plans, timelines, deliverables, stakeholder coordination, and material review processes.
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives, including town halls, onsite events, executive communications, and leadership memos.
  • Oversee the development of creative, digital, and multimedia content for internal, web, and social media channels.
  • Lead the development and distribution of internal communications and thought leadership content.
  • Collaborate with enterprise communications teams and agency partners on employee communications and external initiatives, including website and social media content.
  • Develop metrics reporting for key internal and external communications programs, translating performance data into actionable insights.
  • Monitor communications, digital, and social media trends to identify emerging opportunities and provide relevant recommendations.
  • Conduct research and manage tactical execution for priority communications initiatives, including major data milestones, medical meetings, and other important events.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, corporate leaders, agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective communications.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships and support budget planning and oversight for communications initiatives.
  • Apply strong creative, analytical, and project management skills to deliver high-quality communications in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree with 4+ years of public relations and/or communications experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Significant experience in public relations and/or communications, ideally within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or a related highly regulated industry.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media strategy, social content development, and visual asset ideation.
  • Experience using communications monitoring and analytics tools and translating performance data into meaningful insights and reports.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience managing public relations agencies, creative partners, vendors, or similar external relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, senior executives, corporate leaders, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills, with the ability to respond quickly and make sound decisions in a changing environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, collaborative, and committed to high-quality work and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to operate independently while contributing effectively within a highly collaborative team.
  • Strong interest in healthcare, life sciences, communications, and initiatives that can contribute to improved patient outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to company headquarters and key industry or organizational events.
