Job Description

Right in the heart of State College, PA you will find the newest entertainment destination. Happy Valley Casino has taken over in The Nittany Mall, bringing the area its first ever gaming facility! With two dining options, cocktail service, 30+ table games and over 1,000 slot machines, we are sure to be the number one entertainment destination in The Happy Valley!

We are looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Shift Supervisor to support daily front-of-house operations. This hands-on leadership role helps coordinate service, supervise employees, maintain accurate shift records, and ensure guests receive exceptional service. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced environment, and willing to step into other service positions as operational needs require.

This position will report directly to the Food and Beverage Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with opening and closing responsibilities for the assigned work area.
  • Ensuring accurate recordkeeping, including balancing cashiering stations at the beginning or end of the shift.
  • Assisting with the training of staff.
  • Setting floor plans for the day.
  • Ensuring the highest level of customer service in accordance with established quality standards.
  • Adhering to established Food and Beverage policies and procedures.
  • Relaying all guest compliments and complaints to the Food and Beverage Director.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all front-of-house areas.
  • Providing direct supervision of employees during assigned shifts.
  • Filling in for and performing other staff positions as needed.
  • Promoting outstanding customer service.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
  • The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:

  • Previous food and beverage or hospitality experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • The ability to maintain accurate records and balance cashiering stations.
  • The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6–8+ hours per shift.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.

    Casino employees may be required to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. Cost of license is covered by Happy Valley Casino.
