Job Description
Summary:
The Supply Chain Intern will support the Supply Chain team in planning, procurement, inventory management, data analysis, and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) activities. This internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to supply chain processes that support customer demand, production planning, and operational excellence.
The intern will work closely with Supply Chain professionals, Buyers, Planners, and Production teams to analyze data, monitor inventory levels, support continuous improvement projects, and assist with key supply chain reporting activities. This role is designed to provide practical experience while developing analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly Supply Chain and SIOP activities by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
• Assist with forecast analysis and reporting to identify trends, demand fluctuations, and planning opportunities.
• Support inventory management efforts by monitoring inventory levels, identifying excess or slow-moving inventory, and assisting with inventory reduction initiatives.
• Generate and maintain KPI reports related to purchasing, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, delivery performance, and production planning.
• Assist Buyers and Planners with purchase order management, supplier follow-up activities, and material status tracking.
• Review ERP/MRP system data and support data accuracy initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings involving Supply Chain, Operations, Production, and Customer Service teams.
• Help monitor material shortages and support escalation activities by gathering and reporting relevant information.
• Assist in preparing presentations, dashboards, and reports used by Supply Chain leadership.
• Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, inventory control, and process standardization.
• Perform other administrative and analytical duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance throughout the internship period.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Data Analytics or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Interest in manufacturing, aerospace, or operations environments.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) through coursework, projects, or prior internships.
• Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, forecasting, or production planning concepts.
• Experience using Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and charts.
• Ability to analyze data and present recommendations effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
