Job Description
The Shipping Coordinator helps make sure all orders are shipped correctly and on time. This role works closely with the warehouse team, customers, accounting, to schedule shipments, prepare paperwork, and solve any shipping problems.
Requirements:Responsibilities
· Notify customers via email when orders are completed and ready for pickup or delivery
· Schedule deliveries and pickups for all completed orders
· Prepare orders for delivery, including packing as needed
· Coordinate with Accounting to confirm payment is received prior to warehouse release
· Prepare shipping paperwork such as packing lists and delivery documents
· Address and resolve shipping-related issues, discrepancies, or delays to ensure customer satisfaction
· Check all order tickets to make sure they are complete, correct, and signed before shipping
· Communicate clearly with warehouse staff, supervisors, office staff, and drivers
· Maintain accurate records and data entry related to shipments and deliveries
Qualifications
· Good organization skills and attention to detail
· Bilingual: English and Spanish
· Basic computer skills (email, data entry, scheduling)
· Warehouse and shipping experience preferred
· Experience in windows, construction, or similar trades is a plus
· Able to handle multiple tasks and stay organized.
Education
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field
Physical Requirements
Exposure to varying temperatures (e.g., high humidity, heat during summer months).
· Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
· Ability to lift to 15 lbs.
· Use of OSHA-compliant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
