Master's degree preferred; adult education, workforce education, or related field preferred.
Previous teaching experience required (higher education or adult education area preferred). Attention to detail, program and budget management, excellent writing, verbal, and problem solving skills, the ability to analyze and interpret data, strong organizational skills, computer operation, and general understanding of literacy programs including career technical education are required. Previous experience in working with grant funded programs beneficial. Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment for professional development opportunities.
Education - A Bachelor's degree.Interpersonal Skills - Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings.
Wages/Other:The salary range for this position is $51,370.59 to $57,185.74.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating adult education programs in the prison, GED testing, and transition services to post-secondary academic and career technical education in correctional facility settings.
