Client Manager (National Benefits)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Client Manager (National Benefits) based in United States.

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality client service and managing employee benefits programs for complex accounts.
You will build trusted relationships with client representatives while serving as a responsive point of contact for benefits questions and requests.
The position combines client management, compliance guidance, carrier and vendor coordination, and employee communication.
You will help clients navigate benefit programs, resolve issues, and implement new carrier or vendor solutions effectively.
The role also involves preparing and leading meetings, developing member-facing communications, and supporting benefits education sessions.
Strong organization, diplomacy, and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
You will work collaboratively across internal teams while contributing to an environment focused on relationships, service, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:
  • Maintain regular and professional communication with client representatives to develop strong relationships and provide responsive client service.
  • Research and resolve client questions, requests, and benefit-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide guidance on benefits programs and assist with reviews of compliance-related matters.
  • Prepare meeting materials and collateral, actively participate in client discussions, and document key decisions and action items.
  • Oversee new carrier and vendor implementations while reviewing related plan documents, contracts, and supporting materials.
  • Maintain regular communication with carrier and vendor representatives to advocate for clients and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Work with clients to establish short- and long-term employee communication objectives and create materials that clearly explain benefit programs and features.
  • Lead in-person, virtual, and telephone-based sessions to educate participants about benefits and plan details.
  • Keep clients informed about relevant carrier and vendor features, services, and program updates through regular interactions.
  • Contribute to client service team operations, communicate important client updates to appropriate colleagues, and maintain accurate task management records.
  • Oversee the workflow and accuracy of assigned Account Coordinator activities and provide additional team support when needed.
Requirements:
  • You have at least 3 years of Employee Benefits experience, preferably supporting large and complex accounts.
  • You hold and maintain the required state life and health license in accordance with applicable standards.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • You have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as tools such as InDesign and Box.
  • You are comfortable learning and using agency, client management, and other technology platforms.
  • You work independently and accurately while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and can explain information clearly and concisely.
  • You possess sound critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities and can effectively address client needs.
  • You are comfortable presenting information to groups in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • You have strong organizational skills and can prioritize multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • You demonstrate diplomacy, tact, interpersonal effectiveness, flexibility, and relationship-building skills.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with diverse teams and adapting to changing client and business needs.
Benefits:
  • The position offers a salary range of $100,000–$120,000 USD, with final compensation based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
