ROLE SUMMARY:
The Merchandiser is responsible for completing assigned POS and display work orders, maintaining merchandising standards, and managing an efficient route schedule. This role ensures products and displays are properly stocked, organized, rotated, and presented according to company and retailer standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete POS and display work orders as assigned at both on-premises and off-premises locations.
- Ensure displays are properly merchandised using the appropriate POS materials.
- Transport products from back-stock areas to display locations using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment.
- Stock shelves with EDI products from back-stock inventory.
- Rotate products according to the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method and code dates.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked back-stock areas.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with retailers, customers, and company staff.
- Follow all company safety, merchandising, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant retail or merchandising experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively at a 12th-grade level.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete an assigned route.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, and move products up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks.
