Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional experience at every visit.
- Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling.
- Schedule new patient consultations, hygiene appointments, treatments, and follow-ups.
- Follow up with patients regarding outstanding treatment, appointments, and referrals.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with dental insurance inquiries, estimates, pre-authorizations, and billing coordination.
- Coordinate effectively with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and the administrative team.
- Help patients understand their treatment options, appointment requirements, and financial arrangements.
- Handle patient concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all office policies and privacy requirements.
- Support the overall efficiency and positive culture of the dental practice.
- Previous experience in a dental office preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional, positive, and compassionate personality.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and electronic patient records. Experience with Dentrix is an asset.
- Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience with dental insurance and treatment coordination.
