Overview

We are seeking an experienced Night Manager to oversee janitorial and floor care operations at a large facility. This position will manage approximately 5–10 cleaners and floor technicians, ensuring the team delivers consistent, high-quality service and the facility is maintained to established standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong floor care experience, proven leadership skills, and the ability to coach and mentor an established team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage nightly janitorial and floor care operations for a large facility.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 5–10 cleaners and floor technicians.
• Ensure cleaning and floor care services are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and address performance or service issues.
• Oversee floor care activities, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, and maintenance.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning and floor care equipment.
• Train and develop team members while maintaining accountability for performance.
• Manage staffing and assist with coverage when needed.
• Communicate operational updates, staffing concerns, and facility issues to leadership.
• Ensure all employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and facility requirements.
• Assist with janitorial and floor care duties when needed.
• Help maintain strong working relationships with facility contacts and leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Previous management or supervisory experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities, or commercial cleaning.
• Strong floor care experience required.
• Terrazzo floor care experience preferred.
• Experience with floor care equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Ability to manage an established team and hold employees accountable to quality standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable working overnight hours.
• Must be flexible to help cover afternoon shifts when needed.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Working Conditions:

• Large facility environment with regular movement throughout the facility.
• Must be able to work on your feet and walk throughout the facility as needed.
• Overnight work environment, Monday–Friday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM.
