VETERAN MONITOR in San Antonio, Texas at AMERICAN GI FORUM NATIONA

The Veteran Monitor is responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for veterans residing in the transitional housing program. This position monitors resident activity, conducts routine property rounds, ensures facilities remain orderly, documents incidents and concerns, and assists with enforcing program policies and procedures. The Veteran Monitor serves as a primary point of contact for residents, promotes resident accountability, responds to emergencies, and helps ensure the well-being of veterans and the proper care of program property.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to document incidents and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine rounds of the property and monitor resident activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents and maintain an orderly living environment.
• Observe, document, and report incidents, concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations.
• Assist with resident accountability, room checks, and key card management.
• Support daily facility operations and monitor common areas and grounds.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and unusual situations.
• Enforce program policies fairly, consistently, and professionally.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and visitors.
