Human Resources SR Generalist in West Jordan, Utah at Quality Electrical Systems

The Senior HR Generalist at QES serves as a key partner supporting both operational and strategic HR functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is heavily focused on employee relations, compliance, investigations, and workforce support while maintaining strong alignment with business operations.
In this hands-on role, you’ll support employees and leaders across our production, field, and corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead employee relations matters and conduct timely, objective workplace investigations.
• Coach leaders on performance, documentation, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
• Manage FMLA, medical leave, ADA accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
• Apply policies consistently and maintain clear, confidential records.
• Guide employees through benefits questions, workplace concerns, and employment transitions.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Paychex and coordinate status changes and final pay with Payroll.
• Support consistent onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Help leaders assess staffing needs and plan for workforce changes.
• Partner with Operations and Safety to address urgent workplace matters and support a respectful, productive environment.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements
• 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong employee relations and investigation skills.
• Working knowledge of employment law and the judgment to handle sensitive matters.
• Clear communication, strong documentation skills, and the ability to build trust at every level.
• A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Manufacturing experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification are preferred.
