Job Description
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Technician supports production operations by preparing, moving, loading, unloading, coating, and/or inspecting parts throughout the manufacturing process. This role contributes to the safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of customer orders while supporting production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team members may work in various areas of the facility, including part preparation, masking, blasting, loading/unloading, powder coating, painting, quality inspection, and material handling.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and required PPE guidelines.
- Support company 6S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare parts for processing through cleaning, masking, plugging, and staging activities.
- Load and unload parts, materials, and products onto racks, hooks, conveyors, carts, and other production equipment.
- Operate production equipment and tools as trained and assigned.
- Assist with blasting, painting, powder coating, curing, and finishing processes.
- Read and follow work orders, production schedules, process instructions, and quality requirements.
- Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards.
- Accurately complete required production documentation and records.
- Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, safety hazards, or production delays.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work effectively with supervisors and teammates to meet production goals and delivery schedules.
- Participate in problem-solving activities and recommend process improvements.
- Cross-train and perform duties in multiple departments as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, industrial, coating, painting, blasting, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new skills.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and lifting.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to heat, noise, dust, chemicals, and industrial equipment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and protective clothing as required.
- Ability to safely operate around moving equipment, conveyors, racks, and material handling devices.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Initial training may be conducted on 1st Shift before transitioning to an assigned shift.
- Overtime and schedule adjustments may be required based on production demands.
