About the role
Are you a strategic account manager or customer success professional who thrives on driving revenue and building deep partnerships?
At GradGuard, we provide a critical safety net for college students and their families. We are looking for a Director of School Success to serve as the strategic account owner and primary relationship manager for a dedicated portfolio of university partners.
Note: While this role carries a "Director" title to reflect the strategic nature and high-level campus relationships required, it is an individual contributor (IC) position with no direct reports.
What you'll do
- Strategic Account Expansion: Actively identify and pursue opportunities to expand GradGuard’s full suite of products and services across different campus departments (Housing, Student Financial Services, Risk Management).
- Drive Product Adoption: Ensure school partners implement GradGuard’s products effectively, helping execute integrated marketing campaigns that support our embedded insurance model.
- Deepen Relationships: Build trust and credibility with key stakeholders at partner institutions, positioning GradGuard as an essential component of their student success strategies.
- Revenue Growth Initiatives: Design and implement innovative strategies within your portfolio to maximize financial impact, focusing on retention and expansion revenue.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, product, sales) to advocate for your partners' needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5+ years in B2B account management, customer success, higher education partnerships, or strategic partnerships, with a track record of revenue retention and growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the higher education market, EdTech, or financial services is highly preferred.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to navigate complex organizations, identify key decision-makers, and uncover expansion opportunities.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using modern sales and CRM tools (Salesforce experience is strongly preferred). Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem (including Keynote) is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation and relationship-building skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time for campus visits, events, and trainings.
