Reports to: Clinic Manager
Schedule/Type: Part-time - onsite/hourly
Wage: $16.82 /hr, commensurate with experience

This position functions as a Clinical Runner and an essential part of our patient care journey. The Clinical Runner ensures smooth operations and excellent patient experiences within the clinic. Responsibilities include facilitating patient placement and rooming, assisting medical staff during procedures, maintaining exam rooms, and upholding high standards of professionalism and confidentiality. This role supports our mission of delivering exceptional orthopedic care to our community.
Requirements:Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assist medical staff and providers as directed, ensuring tasks are completed within the scope of practice and competence.
- Facilitate patient placement and rooming to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Provide assistance to providers during procedures and serve as a designated chaperone when required.
- Prepare clinic exam rooms before sessions and maintain cleanliness between patients.
- Ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, communication, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in Electrocardiogram (EKG) and Phlebotomy preferred.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification preferred.
Experience:
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
Other Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations as needed.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Understanding of patient care and clinic operations.
- Familiarity with maintaining exam room standards and cleanliness.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to assist in medical procedures and ensure patient comfort.
- Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to anticipate provider needs and ensure smooth workflow.
Abilities:
- Ability to make effective decisions and solve problems efficiently.
- Ability to follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe environment.
- Ability to lift and position patients as required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and providers.
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
- Ability to competently use medical and office software.
Equipment Operated:
- Standard medical and office equipment.
Work Environment:
- Work in comfortable, private clinics.
- Frequent contact with patients.
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform tasks associated with the role, such as walking, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Occasional stress from interacting with many staff and patients.
