Come Join Our Team as a Full Time Maintenance Technician at Richman Property Services, Inc., in Stamford, CT!
Richman Property Services, Inc. (RPS), is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Are you a community-inspired, passion-driven individual with a can-do attitude? If so, we want you on our team!

Position: Maintenance Technician 1

Location: Rippowam Park. Our 431-unit residential community located in Stamford, CT (near downtown/west)!

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, weekend on-call/rotation required

Skills, experience and qualifications we are looking for:

  • Two or more years of apartment maintenance experience within a multi-family environment
  • EPA I & II or EPA Universal are required for this position. If you do not possess your EPA, but have the right skills, experience and drive, RPS may sponsor and pay for your EPA within the first 75-days of hire! Details discussed during interview process
  • Experience with Yardi property management software products, superior customer/Resident service skills required
  • Valid/active Driver's license required (and verified). Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
  • Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
  • Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
  • Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
  • Seeking educational opportunities for personal growth and development
  • Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
  • Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
  • Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
    • Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
    • Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

  • Skills & Certifications:
    • EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
    • Valid Driver's License required
    • Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
