Strategic Sales Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Sales Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to drive growth across strategic industrial accounts by developing long-term customer partnerships and delivering measurable business impact.
The position focuses on managing complex OEM relationships, expanding revenue opportunities, and shaping account strategies across global markets.
You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, business development, and customer teams to deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions.
The role combines strategic planning, relationship management, and sales execution within a fast-paced industrial environment.
You will leverage market insights, customer feedback, and business data to influence product development and future growth initiatives.

Accountabilities:

The Strategic Sales Manager will be responsible for managing high-value customer relationships, developing growth strategies, and driving commercial success across assigned strategic accounts. The role requires strong business acumen, customer focus, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.

  • Manage and expand strategic OEM accounts across fluid power, electric motor, industrial gearbox, and related industrial markets.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and serve as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Negotiate and manage customer agreements while identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
  • Develop sales pipelines, identify new business opportunities, and convert growth initiatives into measurable results.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to support strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Capture and communicate Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to influence product development and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including revenue, margins, forecasting accuracy, pipeline health, and business performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, customer service, accounting, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align priorities.
  • Present technical and commercial solutions that address customer challenges and create long-term value.
  • Lead account strategy discussions and influence internal teams without direct authority.
  • Drive operational improvements and implement corrective actions to support business objectives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales and business development professional with a strong understanding of industrial markets, customer relationship management, and strategic account growth. They should demonstrate the ability to communicate technical concepts, manage complex sales cycles, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, application engineering, business development, or sales management within industrial products or related markets.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and managing strategic customer accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial applications, OEM environments, and customer business challenges.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and financial concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market opportunities and develop data-driven strategies.
  • High level of business acumen, accountability, and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Self-motivated professional with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% domestically, with potential international travel.
