At Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA), you'll find more than a job — you'll find a purpose. As an OBGYN Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to provide exceptional, culturally responsive care to Indigenous women and families while helping improve health outcomes across generations.

Our providers are committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment where culture, community, and relationships matter. If you're passionate about serving an underserved population, mentoring the next generation of physicians, and practicing the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology, we'd love to meet you.

What You’ll Do:

As an OBGYN Specialist, you'll provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for patients across the continuum of care, including outpatient clinic services, hospital-based care, and surgical procedures. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, culturally respectful healthcare. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive services.
  • Manage high-risk obstetric and gynecologic patients with a focus on improving maternal and infant health outcomes.
  • Perform Cesarean deliveries and other obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures consistent with granted privileges.
  • Interpret and perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and care teams to coordinate seamless patient care.
  • Participate in inpatient rounding and scheduled call responsibilities.
  • Serve as a mentor and educator for Family Medicine residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers through our Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and the ongoing advancement of patient care.

Why You'll Love Working Here:

At PTHA, healthcare extends beyond treating illness — we're strengthening families, honoring culture, and investing in healthier futures. You'll enjoy:

  • Meaningful work serving the Indigenous community.
  • The opportunity to practice full-spectrum obstetrics and gynecology.
  • A collaborative team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, behavioral health professionals, pharmacists, dentists, and specialists.
  • The opportunity to teach and mentor medical residents and future physicians.
  • A mission-driven organization that values respect, compassion, teamwork, and cultural humility.
  • The chance to make a measurable difference in reducing health disparities while building long-term relationships with patients and families.

PTHA Employee Benefits:

  • Supportive environment that values a healthy work/life balance
  • Medical/Dental/Vision monthly premiums paid 100% by PTHA for employees (health coverage begins the first of the month following hire date)
  • (13) annual leave (vacation) days + (13) annual sick leave days (pro-rated for part-time employees)
  • (18+) annual paid holidays including a birthday holiday
  • 401(k) with annual profit-sharing contributions after (1) year of service
  • Life and AD&D insurance coverage
