This is a senior technical leadership opportunity focused on building and evolving critical card and financial transaction systems.
You will lead engineering decisions across the full software lifecycle, from solution design through production deployment.
The role combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural ownership, reliability, security, and performance.
You will serve as a technical reference for the squad, helping establish engineering standards and scalable solutions.
The environment is highly collaborative, agile, and DevOps-oriented, with close interaction across technology, product, and business teams.
Your work will directly contribute to resilient, high-volume financial journeys where availability and response time are mission-critical.

- Lead the complete software development lifecycle, from solution conception and architecture through deployment to testing and production environments, ensuring robust, secure, and continuous delivery.
- Act as the technical reference within the squad, driving quality, performance, scalability, and resilience for services supporting card processing and financial transactions.
- Lead architecture and engineering decisions by evaluating technical trade-offs and guiding the team toward scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions.
- Promote advanced engineering practices, including TDD/BDD, clean code, Domain-Driven Design, code reviews, and comprehensive automated testing.
- Participate actively in production support, using observability, monitoring, and incident-response practices to maintain mission-critical systems.
- Collaborate closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders, providing strategic technical input to continuously improve card-related customer journeys.
- Help establish a culture of continuous improvement, frequent delivery, engineering excellence, and DevOps practices.
- Strong professional experience developing with Kotlin or Java, including solid hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
- Advanced knowledge of microservices architecture, including communication patterns, resilience, API versioning, and continuous deployment.
- Extensive experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and contract testing, with a strong focus on coverage and delivery confidence.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra, with attention to performance and consistency.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, SQS, and SNS, applying asynchronous communication patterns at scale.
- Advanced understanding of observability practices, including metrics, structured logging, and distributed tracing.
- Practical experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, as well as Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and practices, including JWT, OAuth2, authentication and authorization, encryption, and secure software development.
- Experience working in agile environments with a focus on frequent delivery, engineering metrics, and DevOps culture.
- Previous experience with payments, acquiring, cards, or financial solutions involving high transaction volumes is highly valuable.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, collaboration, and decision-making skills, with the ability to guide engineers and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
