Job Description

Paradise Media is a privately owned media company with a global portfolio of sports and iGaming brands. We build and grow content-led websites for international audiences, with SEO as a core traffic channel.

About the role

We're hiring an AI-Native Web Designer with an exceptional eye for design. You'll work directly with our SEOs and developers to turn rough pages, early concepts and loose briefs into websites that feel polished, credible and distinctive.

This is not a role where every visual decision arrives in a detailed brief. We are hiring your judgement. You should be comfortable hearing, “This works, but it doesn't look good enough,” identifying why and creating a much stronger direction.

AI will be central to how you work. You should already have used Higgsfield and experimented seriously with other AI design tools. We care less about how many tools you can name than whether you can direct them, recognise weak output, refine promising ideas and produce work that does not look generic or obviously AI-generated.

You'll work across several real websites, with access to modern AI tools, experienced SEOs, developers and enough variety to develop your craft quickly.

Our team works from a 20,000-square-foot, three-storey office in Balluta Bay, directly on the water, with panoramic sea views, a full-size private gym, massage chairs and Unitree robots.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Improve the visual quality of affiliate, editorial and content-led websites.
  • Turn rough briefs into strong desktop and mobile design directions.
  • Design landing pages, commercial pages, comparison modules, navigation, trust elements, author sections and other reusable website components.
  • Create brand directions, hero visuals, featured images, illustrations, icons and supporting assets using Higgsfield and other AI tools.
  • Use AI to explore multiple directions quickly, then apply your own judgement to select, refine or reject the results.
  • Prototype ideas in Figma, Claude Design, Claude Code or similar tools when that is the fastest way to communicate the design.
  • Work with SEOs to make pages clearer, more trustworthy and more useful without losing their search or commercial purpose.
  • Work with developers through implementation rather than handing over a design and forgetting about it.
  • Review staging and live pages across desktop and mobile, catching spacing, typography, responsiveness and visual-consistency problems.
  • Build reusable prompts, references, components and workflows so good design can be produced consistently across multiple sites.
  • Help each website retain its own identity rather than making the portfolio look like variations of one AI template.

Requirements:

  • A strong portfolio showing excellent visual judgement across real websites.
  • At least one to two years of experience working on affiliate, media, publishing or other content-led websites.
  • Hands-on experience with Higgsfield and examples you can show us.
  • Practical experience with other AI design or image tools. You understand that generating an image is not the same as designing something well.
  • Strong fundamentals in typography, colour, spacing, hierarchy, composition and responsive design.
  • The ability to turn an unclear or incomplete brief into a considered design direction.
  • An understanding of how affiliate pages work, including comparison, trust, calls to action and commercial intent.
  • Confidence designing for both desktop and mobile.
  • Enough Figma knowledge to produce clean, implementation-ready work.
  • Care with small details and the willingness to check what was actually implemented.
  • Based in Malta, or willing to relocate, and able to work from our Saint Julian's office as part of a hybrid schedule.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Experience with iGaming, sports or other competitive online markets.
  • Basic HTML and CSS.
  • Experience creating prototypes with Claude Code, Codex, v0 or similar tools.
  • Experience with WordPress, Gutenberg or component-based design systems.
  • Experience using analytics, user behaviour or experiments to improve a design.
  • Experience creating reusable visual workflows across multiple brands.

Why join Paradise Media:

  • Your visual judgement will have a visible effect on real, established websites.
  • You'll have the freedom to explore different directions rather than simply process a queue of banner requests.
  • You'll have access to the AI tools and budget needed to experiment properly.
  • You'll work closely with SEOs and developers, so good ideas can move from concept to staging quickly.
  • You'll help establish how an AI-native design function should work across a large portfolio.
  • You'll join a stable, privately owned company that is investing heavily in AI.

If you combine strong visual taste with genuine curiosity about what AI makes possible, we'd like to see what you have made.
