The Porter is responsible for the maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. Some responsibilities will include indoor and outdoor upkeep. This position may also need to perform some maintenance tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must consistently demonstrate quality customer service.
  • Ability to work alone and with a team in a professional and efficient manner
  • Ensure all common areas are safe, clean, and presentable for staff and residents.
  • This may include, but is not limited to:
  • Mowing/ edging
  • Shrub/ tree maintenance
  • Planting/ placing, various plants and ground covers
  • Cleaning/ removal of trash
  • Painting/ maintaining infrastructure such as walls or curbs and furniture such as pool chairs or benches
  • Snow removal
  • Perform or assist with installation and repairs of irrigation systems.
  • Assist Maintenance Technicians with repairs in units, as needed
  • Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and attend monthly safety meetings
  • Comply with all federal and local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.
  • Willing to perform any addition duties assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to complete physical labor such as walking, lifting, climbing stairs, standing, for at least 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to constantly show quality customer service and professionalism
  • Demonstrate Enthusiasm and positive approach to all tasks
  • Able to lift objects heavier than 50 lbs
  • Drivers’ License is required

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
