Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Marketing based in France.
This is a high-impact marketing leadership role focused on accelerating growth within clinical trial analytics and specialist B2B technology services. You will own the marketing strategy end-to-end and make Marketing a measurable contributor to qualified pipeline and revenue growth. Working closely with the CEO, Sales leadership, and technology teams, you will balance a strong inbound foundation with targeted outbound and account-based initiatives. You will shape positioning that resonates with pharma and life sciences decision-makers while maintaining credibility within the technology and open-source communities. You will lead a distributed marketing team, manage the budget and external partners, and build a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement. Success will be measured through qualified pipeline value, new customer acquisition, and the tangible commercial impact of marketing.
- Own and execute the marketing strategy in alignment with company growth, revenue, and commercial priorities.
- Define Marketing's role across the full funnel, strengthening inbound demand generation while developing sales-aligned outbound initiatives.
- Partner closely with Sales to create targeted campaigns, including ABM, content, sales enablement, and coordinated outreach programs that convert interest into qualified opportunities.
- Strengthen content, SEO/SEM, events, social media, paid campaigns, partnerships, and other relevant acquisition channels.
- Develop and maintain a content strategy spanning case studies, articles, videos, and sales-facing materials, tailored to customer segments and commercial objectives.
- Build a strong feedback loop with Sales to continuously improve campaigns based on conversion data, customer needs, and pipeline outcomes.
- Position the organization as a premium specialist consultancy in clinical trial analytics, creating messaging that demonstrates deep expertise to pharma and life sciences audiences.
- Maintain a strong connection with the wider technology and open-source community while adapting messaging for different audiences.
- Establish KPIs and benchmarks, using qualified pipeline value as the primary measure of marketing contribution.
- Lead a hypothesis-driven approach to marketing by testing initiatives, measuring results, learning from performance, and reallocating resources where needed.
- Use AI extensively for reporting, data synthesis, market intelligence, campaign insights, and analysis of sales and market signals.
- Identify and implement automation and technology that improve the speed, efficiency, and quality of marketing decisions.
- Lead and develop a distributed marketing team, including hiring plans, team structure, external partners, and individual development.
- Work closely with the CEO, Sales leadership, and technology leaders to align marketing with broader business priorities.
- Own the marketing budget and make investment decisions based on expected commercial impact and qualified pipeline contribution.
- Track success through qualified pipeline value, new customer acquisition, SQL volume, conversion rates, traffic and engagement, CAC, content and campaign performance, event participation, and other agreed leading indicators.
- 6+ years of marketing leadership experience in B2B IT, ideally within an international organization.
- Demonstrated success managing full-funnel marketing campaigns from strategy and concept through execution, covering both inbound demand generation and sales-aligned outbound activity.
- Experience owning or jointly owning pipeline- or revenue-related KPIs with Sales, rather than focusing primarily on brand or awareness metrics.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach and the ability to move rapidly from strategy to testing and iteration.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to understand not only what worked but why initiatives missed their targets and what should happen next.
- Solid knowledge of B2B marketing channels and practices, including content, SEO/SEM, paid campaigns, partnerships, and ABM.
- Experience working successfully in remote-first and international environments.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear communication, context retention, openness, patience, and emotional intelligence.
- A proactive, ambitious mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of B2B technology and how technology solutions create measurable business value.
- Hands-on experience using AI in everyday marketing activities, particularly reporting, synthesis, market intelligence, and converting commercial signals into marketing insights.
- Strong ownership of team and business outcomes, with the ability to motivate others through clear objectives, visible progress, and measurable achievements.
- Experience marketing a niche or highly specialized product or service, particularly in B2B technology or professional services, is a plus.
- Experience in organizations where Marketing and Sales jointly influence or own pipeline generation is a plus.
- An interest in open source, pharma, or clinical research is advantageous.
- High-impact leadership position with direct ownership of marketing strategy and its contribution to qualified pipeline and company growth.
- Opportunity to shape the collaboration between Marketing and Sales around shared commercial goals.
- Significant autonomy over marketing strategy, budget allocation, team structure, and agency or vendor partnerships.
- Fully remote work with flexible working hours and core responsibilities aligned with CET.
- Performance-based bonus of up to two monthly salaries per year, linked to agreed targets.
- Dedicated time and budget for professional development, including conferences, mentoring, and workshops.
- Modern equipment, with a choice of MacBook or ThinkPad with Linux.
- Access to tools designed to support effective, data-driven remote work.
- A remote-first, trust-based culture centered on ownership, accountability, collaboration, and partnership.
- Contract-based engagement with a monthly salary of PLN 23,000.
