This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer II based in India.
This is a remote software engineering opportunity focused on building and improving applications that automate complex business processes.
You’ll work across both frontend and backend development, delivering new functionality while enhancing and maintaining existing features.
The role combines hands-on coding with automated testing, code reviews, and continuous improvements to engineering standards.
You’ll contribute to reliable, maintainable software using technologies across the .NET and C++ ecosystems.
The position also provides an opportunity to mentor and support entry-level developers, helping strengthen team capabilities and development practices.

- Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components, delivering new functionality and resolving issues in existing applications.
- Design and implement software features based on business and technical requirements.
- Build automated unit, functional, and regression tests to improve software quality and reliability.
- Write functional tests and maintain well-structured test suites covering critical application behavior.
- Participate in code reviews and help establish, maintain, and enforce coding standards across the development team.
- Apply appropriate software architecture and design patterns to create maintainable, scalable solutions.
- Work with desktop applications and background processing components where required.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes.
- Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor, coach, and support entry-level developers by sharing technical knowledge and development best practices.
- At least 3 years of commercial, hands-on software development experience.
- Strong professional experience with C#/.NET and C++.
- Fluent English proficiency at approximately C1 level, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core Blazor.
- Experience working with Entity Framework Core.
- Experience developing desktop applications; WinForms and DevExpress experience is preferred.
- Experience working with background jobs and worker processes, such as Hangfire or similar technologies.
- Good understanding of software architecture and design patterns, including MVC, MVP, MVVM, Clean, Hexagonal, or comparable approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to translate requirements into well-designed software functionality.
- Experience creating and maintaining automated functional tests and structured test suites.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Angular is a plus.
- Additional C++ development experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed engineering team.
