Job Description
Summary/Objective
This position operates the wastewater treatment plant and all of its functions in order to comply with regulatory and operating permit requirements. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure the wastewater treatment plant is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Functions

• Maintain all the wastewater and irrigation equipment;
• Maintain the grounds around the plant and around the waste water facility;
• Provide support for snow removal from grounds and walkways;
• Follow instructions for precision laboratory testing;
• Follow regulatory permit instructions and report test results in a timely manner.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a manufacturing environment with the following conditions:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours vary depending on the shift and department. Overtime and weekend work is required at times.

Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent;
2. Class K certification from the State of Illinois;
3. Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Wastewater operations experience for a food manufacturing plant;
2. Mechanical background, including electrical and plumbing;
3. Basic computer skills.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Eligible to work in USA.
Food Safety and Product Quality
This position is responsible for supporting the food safety management system and for communicating food safety issues to the Quality Department.
