This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior D365 Finance Consultant based in India.
This role sits at the center of complex ERP transformation programs, leading end-to-end implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for global clients. You will act as a key advisor across finance process design, system configuration, data migration, and solution deployment. The position blends functional consulting, hands-on system expertise, and client-facing leadership in fast-paced project environments. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable ERP solutions that improve financial visibility and operational efficiency. The role also involves guiding testing, training, and go-live support to ensure successful adoption. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives in structured delivery environments while shaping finance transformation outcomes.
- Lead the full Finance workstream across Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementations, including analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Facilitate client workshops to gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, user stories, and solution designs.
- Design and review functional and technical documentation, including customizations, reports, data mappings, and integration specifications.
- Configure core D365 Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Tax, Budgeting, Cash and Bank Management, and Financial Reporting.
- Support data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, and loading using D365 data entities.
- Lead functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing activities, ensuring solution quality and readiness for deployment.
- Deliver client training sessions and support organizational knowledge transfer for D365 Finance processes and solutions.
- Provide go-live and post-go-live support, managing issue resolution and escalation as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of total ERP experience, including at least 3+ years working specifically with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX.
- Strong functional expertise in D365 Finance modules such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Management, and Budgeting.
- Experience leading ERP implementation lifecycle phases including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.
- Strong understanding of finance business processes and ability to translate them into system solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with data migration, integration mapping, and system configuration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing consulting skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and ERP project documentation standards.
- Microsoft Dynamics certifications and prior consulting experience are advantageous.
