Your Role: Paralegal – General Liability and Trucking Litigation

As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys with case preparation, trial strategy, and litigation management. Your responsibilities include:

Document & Case Organization: Reviewing and analyzing medical records, contracts, reports, depositions, and discovery materials to develop case strategies.

  • Legal Research & Writing: Drafting motions, pleadings, discovery responses, interrogatories, and legal correspondence under attorney direction.
  • Subpoena & Case Management: Preparing and tracking subpoenas and discovery requests, ensuring all records and materials are organized and available.
  • Trial & Mediation Support: Assisting in trial preparation, preparing exhibits, assembling PowerPoint presentations, and coordinating with witnesses and experts.
  • Attorney & Client Coordination: Managing case files, client communications, and attorney schedules while keeping all deadlines and trial calendars updated.
  • Discovery & E-Filing: Handling Georgia State and Federal Court e-filing and ensuring compliance with procedural deadlines.

What You Bring

To thrive in this role, you should have:

Experience:

  • 4+ years of paralegal experience in insurance defense litigation, with a strong background in trucking litigation and general liability defense.
  • Experience in discovery, trial preparation, and litigation support.

Legal Knowledge & Technical Skills:

  • Georgia State and Federal Court filing experience (E-Filing required).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to assemble PowerPoint presentations for mediation and trial (preferred).

Communication & Organizational Skills:

  • Superior attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel

Education & Certification:

  • Georgia Registered Paralegal designation (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
