Certified Phlebotomist in Pratt, Kansas at Pratt Regional Medical Center Corporation

Job Summary: The Certified Phlebotomist is responsible for performing venipuncture and capillary puncture, collecting and properly labeling blood specimens, verifying patient identification, and following established laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include specimen handling and transport, documentation, filing, computer order-entry, and maintaining accurate patient records. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and provide professional, compassionate, and patient-focused care while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with laboratory safety and infection-control procedures.

Job Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate or its equivalent. Current Certified Phlebotomist. Previous phlebotomy experience preferred; newly certified phlebotomists may be considered. Must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in specimen handling and labeling, infection control, accurate patient identification, patient confidentiality, and the use of EMR and laboratory computer systems.
