Truck Driver in Terre Haute, Indiana at Revolution Company

Revolution is now hiring for an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to safely transport products and materials to customers and company locations across multiple states. This position involves completing long-distance routes while maintaining safe driving practices, meeting delivery schedules, and providing professional service at each destination.

• Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer on assigned over-the-road routes.
• Transport finished products, raw materials, and other freight between company facilities, customers, and designated locations.
• Complete long-distance and multi-state routes according to established schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and transported safely.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, trip records, delivery documentation, bills of lading, fuel receipts, and other required paperwork.
• Follow all applicable DOT regulations, company safety policies, and transportation procedures.
• Monitor hours of service and maintain compliance with electronic logging device (ELD) requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delivery schedules, delays, equipment concerns, and other issues.
• Verify shipment information and obtain required signatures and delivery documentation.
• Maintain assigned equipment in a clean and professional condition.
• Complete basic equipment inspections and promptly report mechanical issues requiring repair.
• Follow customer and facility safety requirements during pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and other drivers.
• Adapt to changing routes, delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and business needs.
• Be available for overnight travel and extended periods away from home based on assigned routes.
• Support plant operations and perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
• Previous over-the-road or commercial tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience driving a manual transmission truck.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and safe commercial driving practices.
• Ability to operate an ELD and maintain accurate transportation documentation.
• Ability to safely perform vehicle inspections and identify basic equipment or maintenance concerns.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage long-distance routes effectively.
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively, including overnight and multi-day routes.
• Ability to meet all applicable DOT physical and licensing requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly climb, bend, stoop, and enter and exit equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
