What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is motivated, compassionate, organized, and passionate about helping patients improve their independence, functional abilities, and overall quality of life.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include:

• Providing therapeutic interventions and activities in accordance with the Occupational Therapist’s established plan of care.
• Assisting patients in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and other functional tasks.
• Helping patients improve strength, coordination, endurance, fine motor skills, and functional independence.
• Teaching patients adaptive techniques and the safe use of assistive or adaptive equipment to promote independence in the home.
• Monitoring patient progress and communicating changes in condition, functional ability, or response to treatment to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Educating patients and families on techniques and strategies to improve safety, independence, and participation in daily activities.
• Collaborating with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Documenting patient visits, interventions, and progress accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Promoting patient safety and providing compassionate, patient-centered care in the home environment.

Home health experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to provide training and support to help you grow in this rewarding specialty.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current and active Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.

EXPERIENCE: We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about patient care and eager to make a meaningful impact. Home health experience is a plus but not required—we are happy to introduce and support candidates who are excited to learn more about this rewarding field.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and families, and the professionalism to coordinate care with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team. Excellent organization and time management skills are also essential, as you’ll have the autonomy to plan your schedule and balance multiple patient visits and priorities throughout the day.
