Sr. Full Stack Developer in New York at Jobgether

This senior-level role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of modern, cloud-enabled applications in a collaborative engineering environment. You will work closely with a Technical Lead to drive development initiatives and deliver reliable full-stack solutions. The position focuses heavily on Java-based backend development, REST services, data access, and cloud technologies. You will also contribute to testing and application quality using established automated testing frameworks. Experience with AWS and serverless development can further strengthen your ability to contribute across the technology stack. The role is hybrid and suited to an experienced developer who can quickly become productive and take ownership of complex technical work.

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and modern backend development practices.
• Design and implement REST services using Jersey and Spring.
• Develop data-access solutions using Spring Data JPA.
• Work with relational and cloud-based databases, including PostgreSQL and Aurora.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead to drive development initiatives and deliver project objectives.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as ECS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Build and maintain automated tests using JUnit and Cucumber.
• Contribute to application troubleshooting, quality improvements, and reliable software delivery.
• Support Lambda development using Python where applicable.
• Quickly become familiar with existing systems, technical requirements, and development processes.

Requirements:

• Senior-level experience in full-stack Java development.
• Strong experience developing REST services with Jersey and Spring.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Data JPA.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Aurora databases.
• Knowledge of AWS services, particularly ECS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.
• Ability to work effectively with a Technical Lead and contribute to technical direction and development delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to become productive quickly in an established technical environment.
• Experience with Python and AWS Lambda development is a plus.
• Previous experience working with Vanguard is preferred.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States as a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
